“Building community through the power of skating”
United Skating Association was created to unite, promote, and develop the sport of skating in all its forms. Skating is more than a sport—it is a path to health, discipline, and community. Our mission is to support skaters, clubs, and events while creating opportunities for more people to experience the freedom and joy of skating.

About us
United Skating Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting, supporting, and developing the sport of inline skating and roller sports within our community.
We work to unite clubs, athletes, coaches, and organizers by fostering collaboration, education, and high-quality skating programs. Through events, training initiatives, and community outreach, we aim to inspire healthier lifestyles while building a strong and inclusive skating culture.
Skating is more than a sport — it is freedom, movement, and a powerful way to bring people together.
Andrea Rojas

What are our challenges?

Across the United States, many children and teenagers face growing challenges such as sedentary lifestyles, excessive screen time, and increasing levels of anxiety and social disconnection. At the same time, millions of pairs of skates are sold each year, showing a strong interest in skating, yet there are very few organized clubs where people can train, learn, and build community. Additionally, the lack of proper skating infrastructure makes it difficult for athletes and beginners to practice safely.
Youth Challenges in the United States
Today, many children and teenagers in the United States face growing challenges that affect their physical and emotional well-being. Rising levels of childhood obesity, excessive screen time, and increasing rates of anxiety and depression are becoming major concerns. These issues highlight the urgent need for healthy, active, and community-driven environments where young people can develop confidence, discipline, and meaningful social connections.
Millions of Skates Sold, Few Organized Clubs
Every year, millions of pairs of roller and inline skates are sold across the United States, showing the enormous interest in skating as a recreational activity. However, despite this popularity, there are very few organized clubs, structured programs, or community-based initiatives that allow skaters to develop their skills, train consistently, and participate in organized events.
The Need for Proper Skating Infrastructure
Although skating continues to grow in popularity, access to safe and appropriate infrastructure remains limited in many communities. Many skaters must train on streets, parking lots, or shared paths that are not designed for skating. The lack of dedicated spaces such as skating tracks, training facilities, and community programs creates barriers for athletes, beginners, and young people who want to practice the sport safely.
